Birmingham Post - - FIRST WORLD WAR ARMISTICE -

THE shortlist has been announced for the annual Solihull BID Excellence Awards.

The event celebrates the best businesses across seven categories at the awards, run by Solihull Business Improvement District.

More than 100 entries were received for the annual celebration and judges are now going through the process of interviewing each shortlisted candidate or business.

Solihull BID’s executive director Melanie Palmer said: “Once again, we have received outstanding applications and the judges are finding it harder each year to select a winner from the breadth of stunning talent they see.

“I am so proud to be able to shout about the wealth of talent, vision and fresh ideas that we have in the two square miles of excellence that is Solihull town centre.”

The 2018 judging panel comprises Eileen Schofield from Schofield & Associates, Deputy Lieutenant for the West Midlands David Bradnock, Paul Brown from EY, David Colcombe, visiting professor at University College Birmingham, Ojay McDonald from ATCM and Stacey Barnfield from Edwin Ellis Creative Media.

The awards ceremony takes place on November 22 at the St Johns Hotel and will be hosted by ITV Central newsreader Sameena Ali-Khan.
