Baggies are back in the groove, insists Harvey

-

IN-FORM attacker Harvey Barnes says Albion have shaken off the wobble that had fuelled doubts about their promotion pedigree.

Darren Moore found himself under faint pressure for the first time as head coach after his team collected just one point from a possible 12.

Wins over Leeds United and Ipswich Town put paid to that worrying sequence and Barnes believes the Baggies are now firmly back in their groove.

“I think in that spell, one bad result led to another and we couldn’t get out of that bad habit,” said Barnes, who has scored five goals in his last 11 matches.

“But we’ve definitely fixed things on the training ground, we’ve been working hard, so hopefully that shows when we pick up points.

“We’re looking very confident at the minute, we’re going into every game looking to pick up three points, we’re only going to be looking up now.

“At the minute we’re playing some really good football, for me it’s only a good thing.

“It was a massive three points at Ipswich. We’ve been working on a few bits over the international break so we knew we had to put that into practice.”

It’s Swansea City, managed by former Albion player Graham Potter, next up for the Baggies as they target a third successive league win for the first time this season.

And the mission statement from the visitors will be very simple. “We’ll look to recreate what we did at Ipswich and take the three points,” said Barnes.
