City’s priciest roads revealed

TWO Edgbaston roads are battling it out to take the title of Birmingham’s “millionair­es’ row”.

Farquhar Road and Westfield Road, both in Edgbaston, have both seen 18 homes change hands for a million pounds or more over the last decade.

The figures come from analysis of more than 120,000 seven-figure property transactio­ns across England and Wales since November 2008.

The sales in Farquhar Road include one for £2,825,000 in February this year.

Three other homes on the road have changed hands for more than million pounds in 2018.

The most expensive purchase in Westfield Road over the last decade came in January 2017, when a house there was sold for £1,800,000.

Other roads with million pound-plus sales include Hartopp Road, in Sutton Coldfield.

It has seen 12 sales of a million pounds or more over the past decade, including a purchase of £2,800,000. Ladywood Road in Sutton Coldfield has seen 10 million-pound deals, including one for £3,275,000.

Moor Hall Drive, in Sutton Coldfield, and Wellington Road, in Edgbaston, have seen nine apiece.

The data shows there have been 198 residentia­l property sales of more than a million pounds in Birmingham since November 2008.
