Enterprise initiative helps 800
MORE than 800 entrepreneurs located across Greater Birmingham and Solihull have been assisted over the past two years, according to a business support programme.
Enterprise for Success said the initiative had also directly supported more than 500 new and young businesses with their trading.
The programme runs support services for those starting a new business or in their early days of trading and are located across the area covered by the Greater Birmingham & Solihull LEP.
It aims to support those companies with high growth potential.
Saqib Bhatti, director for growing businesses and representing SMEs with the LEP, said: “Our Growth Hub offers support for entrepreneurs, start-ups and small businesses alike and we are delighted to be able to help them be as successful as they can be in turn making Greater Birmingham the thriving economy it is today.”
More than 12,000 businesses set up in Birmingham during 2017.
