New life for boat factory

-

NEW lettings have been signed at a former boat factory in Worcestershire.

Two units have been taken by Bath & Homes to aid expansion plans at the firm which imports and distributes bathroom fixtures and fittings. The company has signed up for 18,000 sq ft on a new ten-year lease at the old Sealine plant in Kidderminster.

A 8,500 sq ft unit has also been let to independent tyre retailer AA Slick Tyres, again on a ten-year lease. The lettings follow a ten-year deal at the start of the year for a 60,000 sq ft warehouse to manufacturer Luxfer Gas Cylinders.

White Rose Chartered Surveyors, which secured the deals on behalf of the landlord, said they demonstrated there was great confidence in Kidderminster.

“The Government’s Midlands Engine Strategy is giving business the confidence to increase investment, creating more high-skilled, long-term jobs in the UK,” said a spokesman.
