Performance was good, if the result wasn’t, says Darren

-

ALBION boss Darren Moore insisted Monday’s late equaliser had not left him feeling pig-sick.

“Obviously you’re never too happy with goals that you concede,” he said.

“But I’m pleased with the performance. The analysis guys said we had 23 chances. I think we had 34 crosses in the game. When you read out stats like that, because of the way the team have been since the start of the season, you’d think it would be a win.

“But football is never like that and that’s why we love it. Whatever you predict, it’s never that way. Just quickly analysing and feeling my stomach, I feel OK because the performance was there.

“I asked the boys to work on things in training and I think they did it. We wanted the win to keep our momentum.

“We could have been a bit more ruthless, but I can’t complain because the boys have been showing that.

“As long as we perform like that, and be creative like that and inventive with our play, we’ll win more than we lose or certainly share the spoils.

“That’s the overriding emotion from the performance.”
