Police raid drugs farm after tip-off
POLICE uncovered a huge cannabis farm in a dawn Christmas Eve raid.
Officers swooped on a house in Montague Road, Smethwick, at around 4.45am and discovered a farm with a street value of around £150,000. They seized around 150 cannabis plants from the property.
The raid came after a man was seen smashing a window and carrying one of the plants in the street.
A statement from West Midlands Police read: “A neighbour reported seeing a man smashing a window and carrying a large cannabis plant out of the house.
“Up to 150 cannabis plants were seized by police.”
