Warning for owners of Range Rovers

-

THIEVES stole £240,000 worth of cars in a Birmingham suburb in less than an hour.

They struck in Winson Green on Saturday night and stole four Range Rover Evoques, each one worth up to £60,000.

Now police are warning Evoque owners to be on their guard as well as using an old-fashioned steering lock costing just £10.

A Force Response team statement said: “There has been a huge spike in Evoques being stolen in recent weeks.

“It’s well worth investing in a steering lock. It’s enough to prevent a theft.”

West Midlands Police have warned in the past that thieves are now turning to technology.

This involves unlocking keyless cars using a relay transmitter system.
