Assa Abloy seals deal for Exidor

MANUFACTUR­ING group Assa Abloy has acquired Exidor.

Willenhall-based Assa Abloy specialise­s in door locks and security products and is best known in the UK for the Yale and Union brands.

Exidor, headquarte­red in Cannock, is a manufactur­er of panic and emergency exit hardware.

Terms of the deal to acquire Exidor from Chamberlin were not disclosed.

Harry Warrender, market region manager of Assa Abloy, said: “Exidor is an exciting addition to our UK business and I am delighted to welcome their team.

“It offers an extensive, highqualit­y range of panic and emergency exit hardware with a strong track record of innovation.

“Their portfolio will extend our offering into the UK commercial market.”

Exidor, founded in 1931, employs around 70 employees. Its revenue for 2018 is expected to reach around £8 million.
