Assa Abloy seals deal for Exidor

MANUFACTURING group Assa Abloy has acquired Exidor.

Willenhall-based Assa Abloy specialises in door locks and security products and is best known in the UK for the Yale and Union brands.

Exidor, headquartered in Cannock, is a manufacturer of panic and emergency exit hardware.

Terms of the deal to acquire Exidor from Chamberlin were not disclosed.

“It offers an extensive, highquality range of panic and emergency exit hardware with a strong track record of innovation.

“Their portfolio will extend our offering into the UK commercial market.”

Exidor, founded in 1931, employs around 70 employees. Its revenue for 2018 is expected to reach around £8 million.
