Nothing to fears from a ‘no deal’
DEAR Editor, It has been repeatedly described by many Members of Parliament and others that exiting the EU without a deal is a disaster that has to be avoided. By default the unacceptable consequences of exiting the EU under Mrs May’s withdrawal agreement prevails.
Taking rules from Brussels has already raised its head with the EU sponsored reduction in VAT for small business from £85,000 to £76,300.
Under the Withdrawal Agreement we no longer have power of veto but would have to follow the EU ruling if/when it comes into force.
I would encourage readers to look at “Briefings for Brexit” website and in particular the report entitled “No deal is no nightmare: facts about EU trade after Brexit”.
This more than clarifies our position and would enable us to pursue a Trade Agreement with the USA. We would also save £39 billion. It should be compulsory for all members of parliament prior to the next vote. West Midlands members please note!
