Debt firm in office deal as it takes on new staff

-

A DEBT recovery firm has expanded into new premises after a recruitment drive.

Controlaccount has taken a third lease on Harris Business Park in Stoke Prior near Bromsgrove.

The company has agreed a fiveyear lease on 4,500 sq ft of space at Oak Tree House to operate alongside its two existing offices on the estate.

This is enabling it to cater for a surge in new staff, with 23 people hired across six departments in six months, increasing the workforce by more than a third to 84.

The extra offices will provide the space to keep staff two metres apart as well executive offices and client meeting rooms.

Managing director David Harvey said: “Controlaccount has experienced substantial growth over the past five years and it became clear that we needed more space to expand our workforce as well as create multiple meeting rooms for our clients.

“Like many businesses, we are currently working from remote environments but our view is to return to the offices in some shape or form. However, two metre-plus spacing could be a challenge in some departments, particularly our multiseat call centre, so the addition of Oak Tree House to our portfolio is welcomed and will allow us to reopen safely, protecting our staff and the community.”

The deal was brokered by commercial property agency John Truslove. Joint managing director Ian Parker added: “We are delighted to have been able to play a part in assisting another local employer to keep expanding.”
