Cremation service in expansion

-

A CREMATION services company has secured £200,000 in new investment to expand its operations, purchase new equipment and create jobs in the West Midlands.

Tipton-based Chapter Response has agreed the growth loan with the Debt Finance Fund, part of the Midlands Engine Investment Fund, and will use it to expand its services to more UK locations.

Two new electric ambulances, equipped with medical tracking software, as well as three refrigeration units will also be purchased with the funding, with eight new employees also set to be recruited and trained.

Chapter Response aims to offer a service which it says reduces funeral poverty, a problem affecting around one in eight families.

The business specialises in unattended private cremation services which has allowed it to increase its efficiencies and pass on these cost savings to customers. Its team of ambulances and responders oversee unattended private cremation services and return the urn to the family home.
