TAKE A BITE OF BIG APPLE

-

NEW York-style brasserie Isaacs is serving Brummies a taste on the Big Apple.

The restaurant is housed within the iconic The Grand hotel, which was brought back to life in May after years of restoration.

Nestled beneath the hotel, with its own entrance on Barwick Street, Isaacs is named after the man who essentially created the hotel – West Bromwich-born property developer Isaac Horton.

Isaacs features the historic venue’s incredible ceilings but also boasts a cool, New York diner-style vibe.

Brummies can enjoy an array of cocktails, including Old Fashioneds, Sazerac, Tom Collins and Margaritas, as well as wines and beers on tap.

There is also a fun, US-inspired boozy milkshake menu, which includes Miami Vice – Coconut puree, vegan strawberry ice cream, pineapple and dairy milk with the option of adding Havana rum.

The menu is split into appetizers, entrees, steaks and ‘comfort food’ heroes such as hotdog with sauerkraut, macaroni cheese and burgers.

Appetizers include Maryland crabcakes and shrimp cocktail salad. On the dessert menu, there is, of course, New York Cheesecake.

The Grand’s cocktail bar, Madeleine, situated by the main Church Street entrance, is a more glamorous affair serving up Parisien chic in sumptuous surroundings.
