INSTAGRAM AGE VERIFICATION

-

Instagram is testing new ways to verify users’ ages on the platform to ensure users’ experiences are age-appropriate.

Currently you just have to tell Instagram you are over 13 and under 17 – the new system will ask for proof.

You could upload ID, allow Instagram to analyse a video selfie or get other users to vouch that you are the age you say you are.

On trial at the moment just in the US the new system is destined to roll out elsewhere.

Instagram say none of the info gathered will be used in any other way than to verify your age…

NOTHING PHONE REVEALED

Ahead of its official launch, the Nothing Phone has been teased in images by the company. The new design incorporates what is now becoming a signature look for Nothing, with transparent materials used so you can see inside the device.

Also of interest is a series of light-up strips on the back of the phone, which can show messages arriving, when the device is charging and how full the battery is.

We’ll find out more about the Androidpowered phone, including pricing and release date, on the official launch date of July 12.
