Old Methodist church up for auction
THE former Sparkhill Methodist Church is going under the hammer.
The landmark, on the main A41 Warwick Road in Sparkhill, has a guide price of £495,000 and is said to be suitable for a wide variety of uses.
The listing includes the church building, complete with pews and large windows, and a self-contained flat on Madeley Road, which is in need of development.
The listing says:
“Given its prominent position fronting one of Birmingham’s busiest ‘A’ roads and within a densely populated suburb the property is considered to occupy an excellent position for a wide variety of alternative uses subject to obtaining and necessary planning permission.”
The property, between Hall Green and Sparkbrook, covers approximately 11,132sqft of land. The Bond Wolfe auction will run on December 14.
