IS YOUR GUIDE TO SOME FUN, FAMILY EVENTS FOR THE EASTER HOLIDAYS

- MEET THE EASTER BUNNY AT SANDWELL VALLEY

You can meet the Easter Bunny in his burrow at Sandwell Valley. Apparently he has some chocolate gifts to give out! There’s also an Easter trail, entertainm­ent and crafts to enjoy. You can tuck into Easter cakes in the tearooms and pick up spring gifts in the shop, too. It runs from April 1-10 andcosts £8 for children, £6 for adults and £4 for under-twos. This also includes a visit to the Rabbit Village.

EASTER CRAFTS AT BLAKESLEY HALL

There are Easter craft activities to enjoy in the Barn at Blakesley Hall during the holidays. Children can make Easter cards on Thursday, April 6. Either follow the templates to make Easter chick or rabbit cards or create your own design. Then, on April 13, there’s bracelet making using string and lots of types of beads. You can even add in your name or initials. Both days run from 11.30am to 3.30pm and cost £2. Booking advised.

EASTER AT BECKETTS FARM

Becketts Farm’s popular Easter event is back for 2023. Learn about the chick hatching process and, if you’re lucky, watch one hatch! You’ll also see ewes and lambs, goats and kids and chickens, too. The event runs at the Wythall farm each day from 10am to 3pm from April 1-16. Entry costs £3 and under-ones go free. There’s no need to book, you may just have to wait if it’s busy. Craft activities will be available too.

A PETER RABBIT-INSPIRED EASTER AT SELLY MANOR

Peter Rabbit, Miss Tiggywinkl­e, Jeremy

Fisher and friends are the inspiratio­n for Selly Manor’s Easter activities this year. You can take part in an egg hunt, create some Easterthem­ed crafts and play games in the gardens from April 3-14 between 10am and 5pm. Also be sure to pop into Tudor Manor for a family trail, some dressing up and lots of handson experience­s. Tickets cost £5 for adults and £3 for children, or you can buy a family ticket for £15. Under-threes go free.

BRAMBLE BUNNY AT WEST MIDLAND SAFARI PARK

There’s a new live show at West Midland Safari Park this Easter. Bramble Bunny is hosting a birthday bash to celebrate the park’s 50th birthday! The 20-minute show features lots of fun, games and dancing to get everyone to hop onto their feet. The event runs from April 1-16. There will also be meet and greet sessions with Bramble plus an Easter trail. Tickets include the four-mile safari drive and the animal encounters. The park will also be opening at the earlier time of 9.30am.

EASTER STAGE SHOW AT CADBURY WORLD

Join Mr Cadbury’s Parrot on his swashbuckl­ing adventure to find a golden egg in a new live show at Cadbury World this Easter. Expect plenty of sea shanties and piratey jokes. Running from April 1-16, there’ll also be a chance to meet Cadbury characters.

SPRING SPECTACULA­R AT HATTON ADVENTURE WORLD

The farm at Hatton Adventure World will be packed with baby animals – look out for lambs, piglets, chicks and goat kids in the Spring Arrivals Marquee. Wait patiently and you might even witness a birth! Running from April 1-16, enjoy the outdoor funfair rides and bouncy castles, watch a magic or puppet show and explore the native wildlife on the spring walks. Hatton’s own Grand National Sheep Race will be taking place, too.

TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES AT TOUCHWOOD

Not Easter themed, but a fun activity for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fans. There’s a meet and greet event with Leonardo and Raphael from Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles at Touchwood Solihull taking place at intervals on Wednesday, April 12.

EASTER LITTLE SKIPPERS AT DUDLEY CANAL TRUST

There’s an Easter trail around the Dudley Canal Trust site, plus you can take part in some crafts and activities. There’s also a book corner with storytelle­rs to share Easter tales. It runs from April 13-15 and tickets cost £3.50 per child and adults, with under-ones free. The Little Skipper’s Explorer Park is open every day of the holidays.

THOMAS LAND’S BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIO­NS AT DRAYTON MANOR

There will be plenty of fun and games to be had at Drayton Manor over the holidays as the park celebrates the 15th anniversar­y of Europe’s only Thomas Land. Look out for a Thomas and Friends character Easter hunt, birthday party balcony shows, party games and street entertainm­ent. Entrance will also include a chance to visit the zoo.

EASTER ADVENTURE QUEST AT WITLEY COURT

There’s an adventure quest at Witley Court in Worcesters­hire. Explore the grounds and gardens to hunt for clues and challenges and discover traditiona­l Easter games. Track down the Easter eggs for the chance of a chocolate treat and an adventurer’s certificat­e. Running from April 1-16, there’s also a nice tearoom and a fun adventure playground to discover. It costs £2 per child to do the quest on top of regular admission prices.

EASTER HOLIDAYS AT TWYCROSS ZOO

There’s a 15m sand pit at Twycross Zoo as part of its outdoor play area. You can meet lots of animals from 80 different species across the 100acre site. And don’t forget, this is home to the Gruffalo Discovery Land.

EASTER EXTRAVAGAN­ZA AT THE NATIONAL ADVENTURE FARM

Take the Easter Eggspress tractor ride then follow the woodland trail to meet the Easter Bunny at the National Adventure Farm in Burton on Trent, and take part in new activities such as Easter shortbread decorating and crafts. Running from April 1-14, there are also magic shows, circus workshops and a farmyard animal balloon giveaway. Look out for live lambing and feeding opportunit­ies, too.
