His­tory talk on Wit­ley Court

ON Thurs­day 25th Oc­to­ber, Martin Bond will be giv­ing a talk to the Kid­der­min­ster and Dis­trict Ar­chae­o­log­i­cal and His­tor­i­cal So­ci­ety en­ti­tled ‘Chron­i­cles of Wit­ley Court: Part 1’.

This talk cov­ers the pe­riod from the Nor­man in­va­sion through to the 1839 sale by the Fo­ley fam­ily. It will iden­tify the key char­ac­ters as­so­ci­ated with the Court, and ex­plore their role and in­volve­ment in the story of one of Eng­land’s finest coun­try houses

This is our first af­ter­noon meet­ing, start­ing at 2pm, so do come along. Both day and evening meet­ings are held in St Ge­orge’s An­nexe, ad­ja­cent to St Ge­orge’s Church, Rad­ford Av­enue, Kid­der­min­ster, DY10 2ES.

There is a small charge for vis­i­tors who are very wel­come.
