All Saints Players present mystery comedy in church
THE All Saints Players are presenting a mystery comedy play – It Could be Any One of Us, by Alan Ayckbourn.
A thunderstorm, a windswept country house. A family of failures – a detective who has never solved a case; a writer, an artist and a composer whose work has never been published; a dysfunctional younger person, all wrangling over a will.
All the prime ingredients for a murder-mystery thriller in the traditional mould. But this thriller is by Alan Ayckbourn and has within it a number of surprises: the victim is not who we at first believe it will be; the murderer could be one of three people, the identity of whom can be changed by the producer every night (we are not changing it, we are playing safe!) and the thrills are leavened throughout with tongue-in-cheek humour and slyly ironic comment. In short not one to be missed!
Performances will run from Tuesday November 6 to Friday November 9, and will be held at the usual venue, All Saints Church, All Saints Way, West Bromwich, B71 1RU. Curtain up at 7.30pm each evening.
All tickets priced at £4-50. If you would like to buy tickets, please call 0121 588 4786, or 0121 357 4248.
