New year starts with church talk

MIDLAND Ancestors Stourbridge Group begin another packed year of events with our initial meeting at St Peter’s Centre, Pedmore, on Tuesday, 19 January, 2019, at 7pm.

Official business will kick-off our meeting when the AGM will briefly take place. Then there follows a talk by Wendy Gwynne entitled, “All Gas and Gaiters” when she will recount the origins of the famous St Thomas’s church in Stourbridge, along with the folk who made it what it is today. Wendy is a historian and a long standing member of the congregation of St Thomas’s.

We look forward to seeing members, old and new, together with anyone having an interest in family and local history.
