Ladies on a night out in the 1970s
THIS glamorous group of ladies was enjoying a night out back in the 1970s, although we don’t have an exact date for the photograph.
They were all members of the same keep fit club which used to meet at the old Odeon in Long Lane, Blackheath.
The cinema had closed in November 1960 and the building was then the venue of a ballroom-cumnightclub. When the fitness club went for a night out, they went to the same place they held their classes.
Unfortunately, after more than 40 years we don’t have any names for these ladies but we hope that some of our readers may recognise themselves or a friend in the photograph.
