Black Country Bugle

Come on yo Baggies

- By Berni Alder

The Baggies was playing well, like a dream They look like gerrin’ promoted, it would seem I bin a Baggies fan since I was a kid Went to the matches with me Uncle Sid

A good day’s football then hot dogs and tay A lovely afternoon, if I may say. Astle, Astle, the crowds used to scream Jeff and his mates, they played like a dream.

I once wrote a poem about Jeff and that team. And what a lovely bloke he was, it would seem. I pray and hope they get promoted this year I’m sure all their fans will shed a tear.

My thanks to the Bugle for showing their fame. Cos staying loyal is the name of the game. As we close in on ebing top two Yo fans, doh start throwin’ a shoe

So Baggies, and fans, Premier we come Cos I had a big bet with my Uncle Tom Jeff Astle would have been proud If we reach that big day And the team and fans would may I say God bless and rest in peace, my friend Jeff Astle When we get promoted we will build a castle.
