Wrong date or wrong man?

IN the story on page 3 of edition 1470, dated October 28, there may have been an error.

The story was headed ‘George’s seventy years in the same job’ and mentioned that the photograph was taken in 1945 and featured Sir Henry Maybury apparently presenting George Taylor with an award for seventy years’ long service. My issue is that Sir Henry Maybury was dead by 1943.

I would love to see an article on Old Hill brick works and the names of the businesses that lined the canal from Powke Lane to Hawne Basin.
