Black Country Bugle
Twenties pupils face the camera
OUR thanks to Kingswinford reader and regular contributor Mrs Patricia Hill for this fine pair of photographs. She told us: “I attach two photographs which may be of interest. They are both of girls’ classes at Moor Street School, Brierley Hill.
“One of them is dated 1926 on the back, but they look to be from around the same period.”
As you can see from the slate in front of the girls in the top picture that these girls were Class III, and that the ones below have a slate bearing just the letter D.
If you recognise anyone in either picture, we’d love to hear from you. Email gjones@blackcountrybugle. co.uk, write to us at Black Country Bugle, Dudley Archives, Tipton Road, Dudley DY1 4SQ, or call 01384 889000.
