Those Golden Days

- By Mick Morris

Gone are those golden days Those days that used to be Gone are the days of happiness Now just a memory.

Gone are those days of courtship And dancing away all night Those days so wonderful And the occasional fight.

Gone are those days you remember Taking your children to school Seeing them in the playground And watching them in the pool.

Gone are those days, still inside your heart Of grandchildren, young and small. Now who are all grown up So sturdy and so tall.

Gone are those days Where on no one you relied When you sit alone and think How you sat and cried.

Gone are those golden days When you were young and strong But you have the memory To recall all day long.
