Be Kind to Folk!

My main thing in life is be nice to our fellas Help them if you can, it will make you feel stellar My wife and I were in a pub long ago And this young couple with kids were having a go.

The kids were crying for an ice cream I thought ‘it’s a shame, they’re just letting off steam’ I went to their table with a five pound note And said ‘if you don’t mind, I must help you out!’

‘Buy the two kids an ice cream, please, ‘It would please my wife and I to appease.’ The mother did what we asked her to do The kids were delighted, saying ‘Thankyou!’

We have done this may times gone by It gives us much pleasure, we could almost cry Always help folk if they’re feeling down You will feel so good, like you’re wearing a crown.

There are far too many troubles around And if needs be I would give them ten pounds Times are hard for so many folk today So please go out of your way to help, as we say.

Be nice to folk who fall behind Help if you can, be nice and kind God bless all good folk today And all will be well, I’m sure they will say.
