Black Country Bugle

My companion, Whisky

- By Mick Morris

The times we spent together He was always by my side If I sat on the settee Beside me, he would glide.

If I could write about him It would make you smile Upon the long walks we had Mile after mile.

He was always truly loved By all the family No one knew that losing him Had such an effect on me.

I could not see him suffer The times I took him to the vets But to you, my Whisky, I promise I’ll never forget.

The joy and happiness you brought Not only to me, but all the family No one will ever know How much you meant to me.

I hope that you’re in heaven Beside my family Until we are reunited again You are so sadly missed by me.
