Choir was gone by the early Nineties

I read with great interest your article on John Richardson in issue 1573 (October 19, page 28).

I lived three doors away from John and his family in Tack Farm Road, Wordsley, and was also a member of the parish church choir, where several of us followed his motorcycling exploits keenly.

However there is one anomaly in your article stating that he was a member of the choir for over sixty years. As I said, I was in the choir until the mid 1980s and the choir ceased to be in the early 1990s – and I think that that is still the case.
