Stars of the seventies get their names in the book

A quartet of Wolves legends from the 1970s had fans queuing up for their signatures when they gathered in the city recently.

John Richards, Kenny Hibbitt, Steve Daley and Willie Carr were at Waterstone’s in Wolverhampton to sign copies of Golden Glow, which has been co-authored by regular Bugle contributors Clive Corbett and Steve Gordos.

The book consists of fans’ memories of floodlit matches at Molineux from the 1950s to present day.

Next year will see the 70th anniversary of the first game under lights at Molineux, Wolves beating South Africa on September 30, 1953.

A percentage of profits from the book will be given to the Wolves Former Players’ Association. Copies of the book can also be bought direct from the publisher (gpbooks@hot mail.co.uk)
