Scrap Happy take drink show back to the Fringe
Youngsters from Blairgowrie based Scrap Happy Theatre Company are performing in a musical that looks at ways in which alcohol can impact on people at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
Drink! The Musical has been written by Scrap Happy’s Claire Bee, a community drama worker who runs Just Bee Productions, alongside residents of Dundee alcohol recovery unit Jericho House, some of whom also star in the show.
The show made its debut last year with performances in Dundee and at the Fringe and is back again for an extended run in 2016.
This year a few changes have been made to the production, including some new cast members, but the live music, catchy songs and thought- provoking moments are still an integral part of the story.
The young people from Scrap Happy involved with the production are Finlay Trotter, Ben Trotter, Lisa Knowles, Kieren Robertson, Nicole Law, Beth Duncan, Lauren Robertson and Matthew Robertson.
Daniel Duncan, one of the adult members of the group, will be providing technical support.
Drink! The Musical runs from Monday to Sunday, August 8- 14.
All shows are at 1.20pm at the Sweet Grassmarket venue. Tickets are £8 (£6 concessions) and can be purchased from www.edfringe.com.
Just Bee Productions is raising £2000 to help keep the show on the road. To support their efforts go to https://crowdfunding.justgiving.com/justbeeproductions.
