Christmas at Friendship Cafe
The Friendship Cafe in Rattray held a festive Christmas party last week in the run up to the big day itself.
The party had all the Friendship Cafe’s usual ingredients of music, singing, chat and laughter mixed with a cuppa and lots of home baking.
Nearly 90 people, including Cafe regulars and some new faces, donned their party hats for the celebration which took place in the hall in the church on Balmoral Road in Rattray.
Musical entertainment was provided by local band‘Not Them Again’, which features Jim Webster, Andy Lang and Jim Low.
They performed seasonal favourites such as Jingle Bells, We Wish You a Merry Christmas, A Winter’s Tale, I Wish It Could Be Christmas Every Day, Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer and Mary’s Boy Child.
Aly Muir is one of the volunteers at the Friendship Cafe.
He said:“Our Christmas party was another great event at the Friendship Cafe.
“Everyone had a fantastic time, they all enjoyed themselves and were singing along to all the tunes, and had fun playing party games afterwards.
“I would like to thank all the volunteers for their support once again, the musicians Jim, Andy and Jim for the wonderful festive entertainment which everyone could join in with, and everyone who comes along to the Friendship Cafe.”
The Friendship Cafe meets in the church hall on Balmoral Road in Rattray every Thursday at 10.30am.
