Block­busters lined up for Strath­more Screen

Com­mu­nity cinema group Strath­more Screen has an­nounced a bumper screen­ing of three films on Sun­day, March 5.

‘La La Land’, ‘Sing’ and ‘T2 Trainspot­ting’ will grace the screen at Blair­gowrie Town Hall at 1pm, 4pm and 7pm re­spec­tively.

‘La La Land’, which fea­tures Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone, won seven awards at the Golden Globes this month and is hotly-tipped for suc­cess in this year’s Acad­emy Awards.

Com­puted-an­i­mated mu­si­cal com­edy ‘Sing’ boasts a stel­lar cast while ‘T2: Trainspot­ting’ re­unites orig­i­nal cast mem­bers 21 years af­ter the first film.

This month’s film show­ings are ‘Moana’ (PG) and ‘Rogue One: A Star Wars Story’ at Blair­gowrie Town Hall this Sun­day, Jan­uary 29.

Tick­ets for the films, which will be shown at 4pm and 7pm re­spec­tively, are on sale at Mitchell’s Newsagents and Ca­lutek and cost £6.50 for adults, £5.50 con­ces­sions and £5 for chil­dren.

Fam­ily tick­ets are also avail­able for one adult and up to three chil­dren or two adults and two chil­dren for £21.

Doors open 30 min­utes be­fore cur­tain up. Re­fresh­ments avail­able.
