Sports day fun

All the action and results from Rattray Primary School

Rattray Common was a hive of sporting activity recently as Rattray Primary School held their annual sports day.

Parents and grandparents turned out in force to support the youngsters as they took part in a range of races including the threelegged race, distance races, the sack race and the obstacle race as well as the always popular tug o’war competition.

There were also races for mothers and fathers.

The morning saw the older children at the school battle it out in various races, while the younger children enjoyed their sports in the afternoon.

And after all the points were totted up, the girls sports champion was announced as Erin McGregor in P7 and the boys sports champion as P5’s Fraser Donaldson.

The house champions this year were Glenericht.
