Hard-working Rattray Primary School pupils were recognised for their efforts at two prize-giving ceremonies to mark the end of the previous school year.
Parents, grandparents and friends of the school watched as accolades were awarded for academic work, sport and entertainment and for other successes such as responsible citizenship, being effective contributors and confident individuals.
P1 prize-winners were Olivia Dingwall and Gabriel Detlaf for successful learning, Summer Ewan and Poppy Duncan for being effective contributors, Ayla Meikle and Cory Clunie for being responsible citizens, and Jakob Findlay and Aaron Campbell for being confident individuals.
P2’s Harris Brown received a certificate for being an effective contributor, EllieMay Farquharson was recognised for being a responsible citizen, Chloe Neave for being a confident individual and Murray Donaldson for being a successful learner.
P2/3 prize-winners were Anya Kozlowska (successful learner), Daniel Ostroski (confident individual), Sarah Pillinger (responsible citizen) and Maisie MacKenzie (effective contributor).
In P3, Struan Robb won the certificate for being a confident individual, Kaleb Dryburgh for successful learning, Hannah Galloway for being a responsible citizen and Rory Morgan for being an effective contributor.
Madeleine Brown, Gus Donaldson and Kade Smeaton were presented with certificates for outstanding effort across all curricular areas in P4, while classmates Lorrianne Mearns, Monty Graham and Cara Donaldson won certificates for good reading, Tia Ogilvie and Rosemary Higgins won certificates for French, and Cara Dingwall and Abigail Martin were presented with certificates for citizenship.
Certificates for outstanding effort across all curricular areas in P4/5 were awarded to David Sands, Kody Warner and Katy Graham. Brooke Taylor, Nikodem Grygar and Cody-Lee McArdle won certificates for good reading, while Amy McDonald and Tyler Rance won certificates for French and Natalia Jazdezwska and Caitlin McGhee received certificates for citizenship.
Grzegorz Lawniczak, Logan Pilinger, Sophie McBride and Mollie Patterson in P5 were awarded with certificates for outstanding effort across all curricular areas, Eva Wilson, Kirk Robb and Callum Fyfe received certificates for being good readers, Sophie McNair and Fraser Donaldson were recognised for citizenship, and Kuba Aleksander and Jenna Stewart won the certificate for French.
P6 prize-winners were Lucy Copeland who won school board shield for outstanding effort across all curricular areas, Imogen Pengilley won the Religious and Moral Education shield, and Kaisey Brown who the cup for Scots language.
Stewart Page, Rachel Leighton and Rhys McCurdy won certificates for outstanding effort across all curricular areas, Alexander Graham and Freya Donaldson were presented with citizenship certificates, while Harley MacNaughton-Jones and Megan Barrell won the French certificate and Sam Watson, Cailey MacKenzie and Sarah Kinnaird won the good reader certificates.
P7 pupil Josef Comiskey was presented with the Dawson Shield for achievement in music, while Ross Smith won the Nina Gibson Shield for Environmental Studies and Eric Perez won the Old Rattray Gala Cup for achievement in maths.
Calum Morgan won the Thomson Cup for sport outwith the school and the Rattray Shield for aspirational achievement, while Adam Hastie won the Discovery Quaich for excellence in science.
Shane Bowen was recognised for his outstanding effort across all curricular areas with the school board shield while Keir McKenzie won the Religious and Moral Education shield.
Erin MacGregor was presented with the award for art and was also the girls sports champion.
Leilanni Tracey won the Craighall Rattray Cup for achievement, Tiegan Barclay won the prize for English language, Jason Stewart was presented with the cup for Scots language, and Fergus Harrison won the Tait Shield for general knowledge.
Certificates in P7 were presented to Josef Comiskey, Jamie Stewart and Erin MacGregor for being good readers, Luci Donachie and Niamh Wallace for French, and Lucy Robertson and Nataniel Kierzkowski for citizenship.
The boys sports champion this year was P5’s Fraser Donaldson.
