Kirsty wins Spoof­ing fundraiser

Blair­gowrie RFC held its an­nual Spoof­ing char­ity night on Satur­day.

Or­gan­ised by club stal­wart Dun­can MacRae, the evening raised £818.40 for the ‘Dod­die Weir’5 Trust’, which was re­cently es­tab­lished in re­sponse to the former Scot­land in­ter­na­tional be­ing di­ag­nosed with mo­tor neu­rone dis­ease.

The over­all win­ner was Kirsty McLaren, who col­lected the tro­phy along with the £75 first prize from club pres­i­dent Stephen Souter. Gary Con­sta­ble re­ceived the £25 run­ner-up prize.

A club spokesper­son thanked ev­ery­one who con­trib­uted to the suc­cess of the night, in­clud­ing Moira Cril­ley-Orr for pre­par­ing the sup­per.
