Raffle prizes up for grabs to help restore church

-

As part of their fund-raising efforts to restore St Stephen’s Church to its former glory, church members are running a charity shop in Howe’s former shop in Reform Street in Blairgowrie this week.

The shop is open from 10am to 4pm until Friday this week.

And as well as the traditional bric-abrac, books and clothes available to purchase, four unusual and desirable items are to be raffled off.

These include a lovingly restored traditional doll’s cot, a robust wooden sledge, an oldfashioned bogie and a sturdy bird table - all kindly donated by local people.

Items for sale can be left at the shop during opening hours and everyone is welcome to browse and buy. All funds raised will help top-up grants from the Heritage Lottery Fund, Historic Environment Scotland and others.
