Thanks for your support
This photo of a female goshawk was taken by Blairie reader Kenny Grant.
Kenny, who lives in Coupar Angus, said:“They were once extinct in the UK but started to become reestablished in the 60s and 70s, although they are still quite rare.
“They feed on medium-sized birds and rabbits and hares.”
Why not send us your snaps and have your image appear as our Reader’s Picture of the Week?
You can email photographs to news@blairgowrieadvertiser. co.uk or pop in to our office at 58 Watergate, Perth, PH1 5TF.
When you are sending your images include your name, address and contact details and a little piece of information about your snap. Blairgowrie Rugby Club recently held a fundraising event and are delighted to have raised £1000 for the Doddie Weir5 Trust, which was established in response to Doddie being diagnosed with motor neuron disease.
Doddie was a championship winner at club level for Melrose and Newcastle Falcons, and on the international stage for Scotland and the British Lions.
I would like to thank everyone who attended the Spoof Night, everyone who bought raffle tickets and everyone who donated so generously.
I would also like to thank all those who helped on the night and Moira Crilley-Orr for preparing the delicious supper.
