Lifesaver sessions

Kirkmichael Session House is organising a Heartstart Discovery workshop in the Village Hall.

The workshop, which is on Tuesday, November 21, from 7pm to 9pm, will teach simple emergency life-saving skills (ELS).

They include dealing with an unconscious person who is breathing, performing Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), dealing with choking, serious bleeding, and how to recognise the signs and symptoms of a heart attack.

Organisers say the course is very practical and handson, and that no medical knowledge is necessary. A certificate of attendance is sent to all participants.

The workshop is free but a small donation on the night to cover the hall rental cost would be appreciated.
