Man(29) verbally abused former partner

Blairgowrie Advertiser - - NEWS -

An east Perthshire man fired a verbal broadside at his expartner just days after she had ended their eight-year relationship.

Twenty-nine-year-old Ross Thomson, of Hatton Place, Rattray, had called at her home at Burrell Place, Woodside, uninvited, to collect his belongings.

But they had an argument and he called her “a fat, ugly b ***** d” and “a whore.”

She became upset and pushed him towards the door to try and get him to leave.

But he started banging on the door and attempted to force his way in.

He was spotted by a neighbour who had “concerns” for the woman’s safety and called the police.

The incident led to him being fined £675 at Perth Sheriff Court after he admitted repeatedly shouting and swearing at his ex-girlfriend on August 2.

Solicitor Pauline Cullerton said: “It would be fair to say this was a relationship which had been particularly volatile during the time they were together.

“I think both parties were giving as good as they got, verbally.”

Thomson will pay the fine at the rate of £100 a month.
