A festive play-time

Rattray pupils on stage

Blairgowrie Advertiser - - FRONT PAGE - PAGE 5

Children from Rattray Primary School’s junior classes performed their festive show, Ned’s Christmas Discovery, to a delighted audience of parents, grandparents, aunties and uncles and carers last week.

The show told the tale of Ned, a donkey who was asked to find out what Christmas really means. He asks various characters and discovers that it’s not about food or Santa or toys but about the birth of the baby Jesus.

Pupils from P1 to P3 at the school took part in the show, either on the stage or in the chorus.

A spokesperson for the school said that the show was very popular.

She said:“It went down a treat, everyone loved it and the children all worked very hard practising their lines.

“We would like to say a big thank you to Mrs Johnstone and the staff in the junior school for all their hard work bringing the show together.

“Thanks also to Miss Coles for doing the costumes and the scenery and to all the parents, carers, grandparents and friends of the school who came along and saw the performance.”
