Pupils from Burrelton Primary School have completed level three of the Bikeability Scotland cycle training programme – the highest level in the national cycle training programme – becoming the first pupils in Perth and Kinross to do so.

Level three Bikeability Scotland builds on the previous two levels by giving children skills in route planning and negotiating cycle journeys on busy roads safely and confidently.

AngelaThomson, head teacher at Burrelton Primary School said: “We are incredibly proud of our pupils for completing the highest level of the national cycling training programme and I’m sure their parents will be as well.

“The children worked extremely hard throughout the course and deserve the title as the first pupils in Perth and Kinross to complete this level.”
