Players take show on road to Alyth
Blairgowrie Players will be taking their successful panto ‘Ali Baba and the 40 Thieves’ on tour to Alyth in January.
President Graham Reid said: “Back in the 1970s the Players took their pantos to Perth Theatre for a couple of performances.
“Here we are, over 40 years later, and we will be going in the oppostie direction to Alyth.
“It’s a bit of an experiment and it will certainly be different, performing on another stage using equipment that we are not used to.
“But we hope to put a smile on the faces of the residents of the Alyth area during the dark, gloomy days of January.
“We will be performing two matinee shows so that young children can come along as well as older people who might not want to venture out during the evening.”
‘Ali Baba and the 40 Thieves’ will be in Alyth Town Hall on Saturday and Sunday, January 20 and 21, at 2pm.
Tickets cost £8 (conc £6) and will be available shortly from Price Kracker in Alyth or by emailing email@example.com.
