Blair­gowrie com­mu­nity cin­ema group an­nounces Jan­uary films

Jan­uary’s film of­fer­ings from com­mu­nity cin­ema group Strath­more Screen – the first of 2018 – have been an­nounced as Star Wars: The Last Jedi and Film Stars Don’t Die in Liver­pool.

The films will be shown in Blair­gowrie Town Hall on Sun­day, Jan­uary 14 at 4pm and 7pm re­spec­tively.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi (12A) is the sec­ond film in the Star Wars se­quel tril­ogy and fol­lows Rey as she receives Jedi train­ing from Luke Sky­walker in the hope of turn­ing the tide for the re­sis­tance in the con­tin­ued fight against Kylo Ren and the First Or­der.

Film Stars Don’t Die in Liver­pool (15) stars An­nette Ben­ing, Jamie Bell and Julie Wal­ters in the film adap­tion of Peter Turner’s mem­oir about his re­la­tion­ship with Hol­ly­wood ac­tress Glo­ria Gra­hame in the last years of her life.

Tick­ets for both films are on sale from Mitchell’s Newsagents and Ca­lutek, priced £6.50 for adults, £5.50 con­ces­sions and £5 for chil­dren.

Fam­ily tick­ets – for one adult and up to three chil­dren or two adults and two chil­dren – are £21. Home bak­ing and re­fresh­ments will be avail­able.
