Peter all kitted out in Antarctic gear
Rattray runner Peter Ritchie ran three races on New Year’s Day wearing the gear he wore to complete an incredible sub-zero marathon 300 miles from the South Pole in November.
Peter - who brought the Rattray and Blairgowrie half marathon back to the town earlier this year - took part in runs in Perth, Dundee and Blairgowrie’s very own New Year’s Day Fun Run and Walk on Monday in all the kit, which had been lent to him by Andrew Murray, a former winner of the Antartica Marathon.
He was raising awareness of his fundraising efforts for Perth Autism Support, which so far has seen him raise over £4130 for the charity.
The Perth and Kinross Council employee said that there is still time to donate to Perth Autism Support through his JustGiving page which is open until the weekend.
And he also thanked everyone who had donated so generously already.
Speaking at the New Year’s Day Fun Run in Blairgowrie, Peter said:“I would like to say a big thank you to everyone who has donated so far, it’s been brilliant.”
