Chance to hear about Karen’s epic 230km trek along the Outer He­brides

An east Perthshire woman woman who raised over £4200 for char­ity last sum­mer by com­plet­ing an epic trek in the Outer He­brides is host­ing a talk about her ad­ven­ture.

Karen Inkster and her res­cue an­i­mals - deaf dog Pip and ditsy mare Con­nie walked 230km across 13 is­lands of the Outer He­brides in an ex­pe­ri­ence she de­scribes as “truly hum­bling”.

Rais­ing funds for the Blair­gowrie Rid­ing for the Dis­abled, Karen and her four-legged com­pan­ions - the Deaf, the Daft and the Ditsy - coped with 16 days of rain, bogs, fall­ing off, a miss­ing horse and be­ing sea bound on their own island dur­ing their jour­ney, which they com­pleted un­sup­ported.

Karen will be talk­ing about their ex­pe­ri­ences at the Royal Ho­tel in Blair­gowrie on Fri­day, Fe­bru­ary 23 at 7pm.

All pro­ceeds from the evening will be do­nated to The Dogs Trust Scot­land.
