BENDOCHY CHURCH

BURRELTON CARGILL/BURRELTON CHURCH

Morning worship on Sunday was led by Rev Douglas Main, with Lynne Mitchell as organist.

Sandy Duthie read from Isaiah ch 43, vv 14-21, and from the gospel of Luke ch 1, vv 39-47.

Office-bearers on duty were Glennis Duthie, David Martin and Sheena McNaughton.

Mr Main will lead worship on Sunday this week, as well as July 25.

Those wishing to attend worship should contact Sheena McNaughton on 01828 627773 in advance as places are limited owing to Covid-19 restrictio­ns.

The church will be running a charity shop in Coupar Angus from July 24-31.

Members of the community are encouraged to start collecting items.

Owing to Covid restrictio­ns, storage is not available.

Items can be dropped off at the shop during the afternoon of Saturday, July 24. NATIONAL THANK YOU DAY

An Afternoon Tea Party to thank those who had provided support within the community during lockdown was held in the church grounds.

This was organised by Kirsty Cluff, a community youth worker with the church, who presented helpers with a wooden button designed by Ann Mailer.

CAPUTH AND CLUNIE CHURCH Sunday morning worship in Caputh Church has resumed at the usual time of 11.15am.

COUPAR ANGUS ABBEY CHURCH

CHARITY SHOP

Sheila and Allan Legge are running the charity shop in Coupar Angus’s George Street until July 17 with friends of the Abbey Church.

All proceeds will go to the Abbey Church.

Opening hours are 9.30am until 4pm.

KINCLAVEN CHURCH

Fergus John MacLean, baby son of Charlotte and Hugh MacLean and big brother of Eliza, was baptised on Sunday by Rev Peggy Ewart-Roberts at Kinclaven Church.

Mrs Ewart-Roberts discussed the meaning and importance of Baptism during her sermon.

Scripture lessons were taken from Colossians ch 2, vv 6-19, and Mark ch 10, vv 13-16, which were both read by Elizabeth Brown.

A Kirk Session meeting will be held in the church on Tuesday, July 13, at 2pm.

Sunday’s service starts at 9.45am.
