Other events lined-up for the festival include a number of taster sessions run by the team at Nest Creative Spaces in Blairgowrie.

Amongst the creative skills you can try out are rag rug making, needle felting, French knitting bead loom weaving and decoupage. There are also two outdoor sessions which involve a gentle walk along the riverside area in the town before returning to Nest to create a piece of art in whatever medium you are inspired to do so.

Places on these sessions are limited and filling up fast so organisers advise booking early.

Musicians in the area are also hosting a number of sessions over the course of the It’s BRAW! showcase week.

Bob Stewart and Sol Christie will be performing an evening of country classics on Saturday, August 21, and Bob will also be performing a number of traditional Scottish songs on Thursday, August 26.

Rebecca Stewart will perform an evening of Gaelic songs on Tuesday, August 24, and there will be two free, open music sessions on Sunday, August 22, and Sunday, August 29, which everyone is invited to come along to and join in with.

All the music events will be streamed online as well as taking place in person as organisers use technology to ensure that the event is accessible to as many people as possible.

And the Blairgowrie Players will also be hosting one of their popular murder mystery sessions, ‘Death by Radio’.

Tickets are on sale now for many of the events and can be purchased online via the festival’s revamped website www.itsbraw.scot
