PRIDE OF PLACE

Coupar Angus Pride of Place is to hold its AGM outdoors on the former bowling green at the Forfar Road Cycling Hub from 7pm on Tuesday, August 10. All are welcome to attend.

A spokesperson for the award-winning group said: “Despite the fraught time over

the last 18 months, Pride of Place has performed their tasks as far as restrictions have allowed.

“This year the town centre has again been beautified by hanging baskets and flower tubs, which are to the standard of the recent years when Coupar Angus won gold medals in either Beautiful Scotland

or Britain in Bloom competitions.

“Anne Easson, who has been chair for far longer than she envisaged, has worked hard to keep her team together, most of whom are in the main ‘at risk’ category in terms of the coronavirus outbreak, and deserves great credit for her dedication and hard work.

“Anne will step down from her post at the AGM and has offered support to whoever is elected to the post of chair and will be available to advise if needed.”
