Man(74) guiltyof sexually abusing children
A 74 year-old man has been sentenced to four years in jail after being found guilty by a jury of sexually abusing two children at various locations, including parts of east Perthshire and neighbouring Angus.
Alan Farquhar Williams appeared for sentencing at Perth Sheriff Court last week.
He had been taken into custody earlier this year following a trial which found he abused the boy and the girl.
Williams, of Walker Court, Aberchirder, Aberdeenshire was found to have abused the children between 2000 and 2008.
He was convicted of using lewd, indecent and libidinous practices towards the youngsters at addresses in Blairgowrie, Glenisla and Friockheim.
He had denied the offences but was found guilty after trial.
