New faceson keytown group

The first meeting of Blairgowrie and Rattray Community Council since a by-election was held after several members of the statutory organisation stood down took place recently.

The meeting took place in person in the Adult Resource Centre on Jessie Street in Blairgowrie.

Seven new members officially took on their roles with the community council on Thursday, August 12.

The new members are David Cuthill, Scott MacGregor, Linda Miezite, Colleen Patterson, Gina Purrmann, Peter Richardson and Morag Young.

Current members Sandy Thomson and Robin Duncan remain on the community council from before the byelection.

At the meeting, Morag Young was voted chair of the community council, with Scott MacGregor vice-chair.

Robin Duncan stays on as treasurer and Gina Purrmann was nominated as secretary.
