Blairare raringto goafter lay-off

- SPORTS REPORTER

Without a game for 10 days, Blairgowrie are back in action tomorrow with a home Midlands League match against Lochee Harp.

Supporters should note that the kick-off time has been moved forward to 6.30pm because of concerns over fading light.

The Davie Park fixture is the final evening match of 2021.

On Saturday, Blairgowrie travel to Angus to face Brechin Victoria, again in the league.

Kick-off is 2.30pm and, following a poor run, Blair will be looking to get their season back on track.

There has already been a lengthy injury list for Blair to contend with this season and it is hoped that the short break will have helped clear this up.

Meanwhile, Blairgowrie will play Benburb at home in the second round of the Scottish Junior Cup on September 25.

From Govan in Glasgow, Benburb defeated Troon on penalties in the first round on Saturday after the tie ended 1-1.

Coupar Angus were in action in the same competition on Saturday against Yorker Athletic.

Yorker were 3-0 up when the match was abandoned in the second half due to a waterlogged pitch.

• Amateur results from Saturday, August 21: Division One - Breadalbane 0, Jeanfield 4; Luncarty ASC 3, Letham CC 0; Vale of Earn 2, Burrelton 1. Division Two - Alyth 2, Rattray 2; Letham Colts 0, Auchterarder 3; Vale of Atholl 1, Fair City 6; Wolfhill 10, Kinrossie 1.
